Day 7 Week 2: Chomp Chomp Chomp!

It's morning time, I have to get food into my stomach. My family and I went to the closest restaurant near us. We looked at the the most common breakfast. White rice, fish, meso soup and natto (fermented beans). To be honest I don't think fish is good for my family to eat in the morning. In New Zealand we would eat baked beans and scrambled eggs on toast. If I had to chose between this breakfast's I would chose baked beans and scrambled eggs on toast... Why? Because I don't eat fish a lot. Also because I like the melted butter on the freshly made toast.

  1. Hi Jessica,

Yum! The picture that you have posted of baked beans on toast with scrambled eggs looks absolutely delicious. I have to admit that it does look a lot more tempting that a meal of rice, natto and miso soup. When I was living in Japan we used to have miso soup quite a bit but we would make sure that we had a traditional Canadian/Kiwi breakfast every now and then.

Like you, I love the taste of freshly toasted bread. My favourite topping is peanut butter and banana. Have you ever tried this combination? It is delicious (but a very acquired taste).

    Bon appetite!

    1. Hi Rachel

Yes I have tried peanut butter with banana on toast before. Have you tried peanut butter with chicken? It might sound weird but it doesn't taste weird.

    2. Jessica, I am so sorry that I haven't written back to your comment yet. I just saw it in my inbox. I'm so sorry!

I can honestly say that I have never tried peanut butter and chicken. It does sound quite unusual but I believe you when you say that it tastes good.

Hmmmmm, I may just have to give it a try!

Thanks for the fun suggestion :)

      Best,
      Rachel
