So Cold

These past few weeks we've been swimming. My school has one pool. Our pool isn't the biggest but at least we get to cool off and swim while we got these hot summer days.

Yesterday we got instructors. Two kind ladies called Tara and Rachel came and tested us. I'm in group 2. Yesterday we had a hand standing competition in the water. It was really fun. Today we had a man called "Anthony" teaching us. We had to do freestyle and backstroke.

Day 8 Week 2: Summer Fun

In the summer like to swim with my auntie and two cousins. We have competitions on who can hold there breath the longest and who can knock down the chicken  first. "Knock Down The Chicken" is a team game with two people on each team, one person has to carry the other person on their back. The person on the getting carried has to knock the other person getting carried.

I also like going to Skate Land  with my mum. I use the inline skates. I go really fast around the rink. The rink is very slippery  and shiny. There are disco light's everywhere and music playing. They do rollerskating limbo and fun games and races.

Day 4... If I Could Meet An Athlete

If I Could Meet An Athlete
If I could meet an athlete out of Lauren Boyle, Andrea Kilday and Stuart Farquhar I would chose Lauren Boyle. I want to meet Lauren Boyle because she's a New Zealand swimmer and I enjoy swimming.

Lauren Boyle was born in 1987. Lauren Boyle is 183 cm in height. Lauren Boyle is set to become just the fourth Kiwi swimmer to attend three Olympic Games. Her best Olympic result so far was a brilliant fourth placing in the 800m freestyle final in London 2012. Lauren is New Zealand's most successful swimmer, winning five of the country's 10 medals ever won at the FINA World Championships. In 2014 Lauren became the first New Zealander to win three medals at a single Pan Pacific Championship. She broke the 1500m freestyle short course world record last year and was a FINA World 25m Champion in 2012. Lauren is a member of the United Swimming Club in Auckland.
